BACKGROUND

The Lizwi Maphumulo Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Lizwi Maphumulo, a prominent transport business mogul and regional leader in the South African National Taxi Council (Santaco). Based in uMzumbe and serving the greater KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, the foundation was officially launched in 2023 with a mission to empower and uplift marginalized communities.

Founding Purpose:

The foundation was created to formalize and expand the philanthropic efforts of Lizwi Maphumulo, who has long been dedicated to improving the socio-economic conditions of his community. By channeling a portion of the profits from his successful transport and other business ventures, the foundation aims to make a lasting impact on education, infrastructure, and community welfare.
